How do you say it in Spanish?

    What you need to know

    • English uses "it's" for almost all weather. Spanish uses hace with heat, cold, sun and wind (hace calor), hay with things in the sky (hay niebla) and está with adjectives (está nublado).
    • Rain and snow have their own verbs, llueve and nieva, and to say it's happening right now you use está lloviendo.
    • When you're the one who feels hot, say tengo calor, because estoy caliente has a sexual meaning.
