Your teacher
Hola, soy Acsa.
Spanish isn't my first language either. I started learning it at eleven, took a degree in it and have been teaching it for more than ten years. I learned the hard way, piling grammar on top of grammar. Here I teach the way that worked for my students: lots of listening, lots of real Spanish and short practice every day.
How it works
Three steps, every time
It's how you learned your first language: you heard it long before you read it.
Listen first
Play the audio before you read. Let your ear get used to the sound of Spanish, the way a child does.
Then read along
Listen again following the text. Notice the words you missed the first time and the ones that surprised you.
Practice and say it
Do the exercise, check the answer and say the sentence out loud. Short and often beats long and rare.
Not sure where to start?
Start with your level
Studying below your level is boring and studying above it is frustrating. The test takes a few minutes and tells you what to practice first.
Listening, reading and writing, from A1 to C2. You get your level, what tripped you up and where to go next.
